1. Fluctuations in the output of household refrigerators

Due to the demand for hoarding goods caused by the epidemic, which has increased the demand for freezers, and the continuous development of fresh food e-commerce and other factors, the growth rate of freezer retail sales in 2021 will reach the highest point in the past five years at 11.2%, and retail sales will reach 12.3 billion yuan.

3. In 2021, the sales growth rate of platform e-commerce refrigerators will be the highest

From the perspective of sales growth in various channels, platform e-commerce will have the largest growth rate in 2021, exceeding 30%. The retail sales of freezers in offline department stores ranked second in growth, also exceeding 20%. In 2021, the retail sales of freezers for professional e-commerce will increase by 18%. The supermarket channel will become the only channel with negative growth in 2021.

4. Small freezers become popular products

In online channels in 2021, the sales of small freezers will account for more than 43%, which is the most popular product. The market share of large freezers is close to 20%.

In offline channels, the market share of small freezer products will exceed 50% in 2021, reaching 54%. The market share of large freezers, large freezers and small refrigerators and ice bars is not much different, all around 10%.

In summary, due to the impact of the epidemic at home, the demand for refrigerators has increased, the output of household refrigerators has increased compared with 2019, and the overall retail sales of the industry have increased volatility. In terms of sales channels, platform e-commerce will see the largest growth in freezer sales in 2021, followed by department stores and professional e-commerce. Judging from the proportion of sales in 2021, small freezers are the most popular products.
